Praveen Chaddha….
a sensible, seasoned composer, singer and a well-rounded musician is serving as Director for the music company Shanamo Entertainment, which is dedicated towards serving the community in the field of musical talent development, production, and promotion, all under one umbrella. Shanamo has been producing high quality musical work for
feature films, documentaries, and private album production.
Praveen embarked on his musical journey long back as a 5
year old child. He grew up in an
environment filled with musical vibes right from his childhood. Praveen was born in Allahabad,
Uttar Pradesh, India. His mother late Smt. Nand Rani Chaddha and
father late Sri. Dhanraj Narain Chaddha both were naturally gifted musicians.
Praveen’s early formal training started with Sri Nityanand Ghosh. Nityanand ji trained Praveen in western
classical music. Nityanand Ghosh Dada also happens to be guru of Shri Pyarelal ji of the famous music director duo Laxmikant Pyarelal. After several years of
training in western classical music, Praveen’s interests expanded and he also
started studying Indian classical, semi-classical, and folk music under Sri
Bhola Nath Prasanna, the great flautist.
Sri Bhola Nath ji groomed Praveen’s talent primarily in north Indian
style singing. With time, Praveen started getting involved
in the local music making scene. He started working with the regional music groups
as a guitarist / singer. Praveen started
composing music for documentary and semi feature films for a local film
production facility. In search of more
opportunities in the field of music, Praveen moved to Delhi and became very involved with the local
music scene there. With the growing
musical talent and expertise, he became very active in recording circles
and stage shows. In 1987, Praveen moved to the United States and started his
musical journey all over again. After
several years of hard work and dedication, Praveen finds himself at the
forefront of a burgeoning scene of music makers. Praveen has produced
several music albums in different genres, languages, and created music for several full length and
short feature films and documentaries. Various music projects are in the works
and are to be released in the near future. And the
musical journey continues…
